Shaolin Soft Fist (Rou Quan)
- Shaolin Rou Quan is a traditional Qi Gong form or we call it an 'internal' (nei gong) form in Shaolin. As with all Shaolin internal qi gong forms, it is practiced to strengthen our Qi, our internal organs and to enhance our health and vitality.
- What is unique about the art of Soft Fist (Rou Quan), when practiced at a higher level, it can also be used for self defence, so the health and martial aspects are combined in this internal qi gong form.
Six Healing Sounds (Liu Zi Jue)
- Liu Zi Jue is an ancient Chinese qi gong, that combines breathing exercises of six different sounds, namely “Chui,” “Hu,” “Xi,” “He,” “Xu,” and “Si" with mind control (Dao Yin), as well as slow and gentle physical movement to promote mind–body health, strengthen internal organs and to extend lifespan.
- As with other Chinese Qigong, Liu Zi Jue has drawn on the essence of Taoism, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and Buddhism.

With the cold Autumn & Winter season approaching, we invite you to come and join us on a wholesome weekend of Qi Gong practice with Shifu Yan Xin; to supercharge your body, mind and emotional wellbeing for the darker and cooler months of the year.
During this online retreat weekend, Shifu Yan Xin will share with us the ancient Qi Gong Breathing practice of Liu Zi Jue (Six Healing Sounds) and take us through a detailed breakdown of the Shaolin Qi Gong Form, Soft Fist (Rou Quan), exploring the details and deeper layers of the form that gives 'life' to the form, taking your Rou Quan practice to the next level.
More About Liu Zi Jue (Six Healing Sounds):
Liu Zi Jue is an ancient Chinese Qi Gong Breathing Technique based on Chinese philosophy of Taosim, Traditional Chinese Medicine & Buddhism, dating back to the Northern and Southern Dynasties of China(Year 420 - 589).
This is a simple yet powerful qi gong breathing technique that has been practiced in China for over 1000 years, that is believed to cure illnesses , strengthen your organs and extend your life span.
How?
Release. Transform. Generate
In Chinese philosophy, it is believed that if you don't release the buildup of negative 'qi' or energy (i.e. negative feelings and emotions such as stress and anxiety) then this energy accumulates in your organs, result in damage to your internal organs.
Each sound in the Six Healing Sounds (Liu Zi Jue), works on releasing and transforming the negative 'qi' energy in your internal organ to positive 'qi' energy.
One can practice these Qi Gong sounds either individually (depending on your current, physical and emotional needs) or all the Six sounds in the cycle of generation from the Chinese principle of 'Wu Xing' (namely, Five Elements):
The Cycle of Generation:
- Wood generates Fire
- Fire Generated Earth
- Earth Generates Metal
- Metal generates Water
- Water Generated Wood
An Overview of the Six Healing Sounds:
1. Sound " Xu" to Strengthen Liver (Wood | Spring)
Transform the negative emotion of Anger & jealousy to Kindness & Forgiveness .
2. Sound " He" to Strengthen Heart (Fire | Summer)
Transform the negative emotion of Restlessness, Hatred, & Arrogance to Joy, Compassion & Gratitude & Respect.
3. Sound "Hu" to strengthen Spleen (Earth | Late Summer)
Transform the negative emotion of Worry, Anxiety, low self-esteem to Openness, Fairness and Self-Trust.
4. Sound "Si" to strengthen Lungs (Metal | Autumn)
Transform the negative emotion of Sadness & Sorrow to Courage & Justice.
5. Sound "Chui" Strengthen Kidney (Water | Winter)
Transform the negative emotion of Fear, Stress & Tension to calmness, peacefulness and wisdom.
6. Sound "Xi" to regulate Triple Warmer.
In Chinese Philosophy, The Triple Warmer is your 'internal system' that regulates the coordination of the above organs, allowing it to work in harmony and balance.
In Chinese it is called 'San Jiao', interpreted to english to mean the 'three burning activities' or the 'triple Burner'.
When your Triple Burner is working in harmony, it allow the smooth flow of all the positive energies (Qi) activated by the practice of the Six Healing sounds, to go around your whole body, nourishing your vital organs , leading to Health and Longevity.

FAQ
-
What is the difference between enrolling as a Face-to-Face and a participation Only student?
Both training options, the Face-to-Face Interactive training and Attendee-Only option, take place at the same time. The Face-to-Face training is very similar to training in a physical class together with other students, where you can be seen by Shifu Yan Xin and he will be able to help you with your training and can correct your movements. In order to keep up with the quality of teaching, number of spaces for this option is limited. With the participation only (Non Face-to-Face Option), you will be able to see Shifu Yan Xin live but no one else will be able to see you, so you can still enjoy the live training atmosphere but would not be able to have your movements corrected.
-
How do I know if I am a KungFu.Life member to benefit from the Warrior member price?
If you are subscribed to one of our Yearly, Quarterly or Monthly subscription plans (either as a Warrior or Wellness Member) or if you are a Lifetime Member of ours then you are a KungFu.Life member and you will be able to find your discount code to join the Live Yi Jin Jing program in your KungFu.Life Members page and/or in you email inbox.

What if I can't make it to some or all of the Live Sessions
If you can't make it to some or all of the live training, the replays of the sessions will be available for you to catch up on. We strongly recommend you join the training live for a better training experience, but if life really gets in the way, then following the recordings is the second best option. If this is the case, then just opt for the non Face-to-Face pricing option at the check out.
