“Since a little boy, I dreamt of becoming a great martial artist. And now, I get to help others to become the best in their lives through the training of Martial Arts.”

Shifu Yan Xin has dedicate most of his life to the art of Shaolin Kung Fu, he started training the Shaolin art since a young boy, and began teaching the Shaolin arts at the Shaolin Temple China in the mid 1990s, where he helped to train the younger generation monks.

In 1999 and 2000 Shifu Yan Xin was honoured to act as the team leader and led a troupe of Shaolin Monks to perform in the Shaolin Wheel of Life world Tour. During these two years Shifu Yan Xin enjoyed sharing the Shaolin Culture and kung fu to worldwide audiences.

In 2001 Shifu Yan Xin started to teach students in England, where he shared his knowledge and skill with students in Bournemouth, Southampton, Bristol and London. Now Shifu Yan Xin resides in the Wicklow Mountains, Ireland with his family and continues with his passion for teaching kung fu. It brings him immerse joy to see the remarkable benefits kung fu brings to people's lives.

I'm originally from the UK, but I now live in Sydney Australia. I started training Shaolin Kung Fu more than 18 years ago, and have been teaching for more than 14 years. I've won medals in various national and international forms competitions.

"I started training in ninjutsu at age 9 which I continued until going to college at age 21.

I found the original representative of the Shaolin headquarters in the UK (Shi De Lon) who invited abbot Yong Xin and senior monks (Yan Zhi and a few others) to set up the UK Shaolin temple. I travelled to the UK to meet with Shi De Lon and organised several seminars in Ireland.

At around age 20 I started training in the Chen family style tai chi along with Xing Yi Quan and Bagua Quan which lead to being accepted as a direct disciple in the family lineages of those arts. This was a great time in my training, and included a trip to China to the main ‘hotspots’ of Kung Fu, Wudang, Shaolin, Chen Village, Shan Xi."
