The Five Animal Qi Gong is an ancient set of Chinese Qi Gong practice that is believed to be developed in the Han Dynasty (202 BC - 220 AD), with the purpose to strengthen our internal organs, Qi (Oxygen) and Xue (Blood) flow.

The five animals are Tiger, Deer, Bear, Monkey and Crane (or Bird). Each animal is associated with one of the element the Wu Xing (5 Elements, which are -  Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth).
